Who have we helped? We have supported North Bristol NHS trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust and University College London Hospital Foundation Trust with over 10 million units of PPE, including nitrile gloves and 3M respirators, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Through our transparent and collaborative partnership approach, we were able to find solutions to enable these trusts to continue their life saving work.  We aim to continue to support our current and future NHS trusts

Wiltshire Police have been a longstanding customer of Stronghold and at the start of the pandemic turned to us to find a solution to supply masks, gloves, coveralls and other items of COVID-19 PPE that were scarce due to high demands.

In early May 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic the UK government announced that all schools and nurseries were to open again. It became immediately apparent that most schools did not have stocks of PPE to protect their staff and students from the virus.

Due to the global pandemic, the PPE industry couldn’t keep up with the growing demand for nitrile gloves. To add to the problem, shipments of nitrile gloves from manufacturers in the east have a lead time of approximately 30 days. This has resulted in a global shortage of gloves which is predicted to proceed well into 2020.
